In 1998 I worked during the final year of the restoration of the Ticonderoga, Lake Champlain's last existing paddlewheel steamboat. The restoration had begun in 1993 and was led by project manager Chip Stulen. As part of his crew I was responsible for fashioning exterior and interior finish work and decking. All the work conformed to the highest standards of museum restoration. I also helped edit Ticonderoga: Lake Champlain Steamboat, published by the Shelburne Museum.
For more information about the Ticonderoga see my article in the Research and Publications page.
